Location
Bali lies between two islands, Java and Lombok and two continental, Asia and Australia and is one of more than 18000 islands that make up the Indonesian Archipelago. Bali is fairly small, being approximately 140 km from East to West and 80 km from North to South.
Ubud is in the heart of Bali’s central region and is a haven for arts, crafts and culture seekers. Located in Buahan Village, the Ubud Hanging Gardens enjoys spectacular views of the surrounding hills and mountains and overlooks both the winding Ayung river in the gorge below and a temple on the opposite hill. Ubud Hanging Gardens is 15 minutes from centre Ubud, with a free shuttle buses available for guests. The airport and Ubud’s sister resort, Jimbaran Puri Bali are 90 minutes away by road.
Getting here Ngurah Rai International Airport in Kuta is served by many International and Domestic Airlines with daily flights to and from USA, Europe, Australia and Asia. Most of the International Airlines fly to Singapore first as the nearest foreign airport and it only takes two and a half hour flight from Singapore to Bali.
Travelling within Ubud
There is a complimentary shuttle service from Ubud Hanging Gardens to Ubud Centre. Shuttles from the resort to Ubud depart hourly, on the hour. Shuttles from Ubud back to the hotel depart hourly, at 30 minutes past the hour. Service runs from 09:00 am to 11:30 am and from 14:00 pm to 17:30 pm. The meeting point in town is opposite the Ubud Tourist Information Office or in front of the Ubud Palace.
If you wish to travel into Ubud after 17.30 we are pleased to offer a car service for 15 USD each way. Cars are available until late.
