Courses for Children
Kite making
The skies of Bali are filled with wonderful handmade kites. Children learn to make them with a few strips of shaved bamboo, a piece of paper and a length of string. At Ubud Hanging Gardens local children share their techniques for creating prized flyers with our young guests.
There are two common types of kites. One is a small lightweight fighting kite called rerean, and the other a slightly larger model known as bebean. Look out for both during your stay. Price: US$ 15 per child
Dance classes
Twice a week at our Diatas Pohon Café, children from nearby Susut village are taught the Legong dance. Let your children join in, or simply sit at the café and enjoy the show.
