Kite Making

The skies of Bali are filled with wonderful handmade kites. Children learn to make them with a few strips of shaved bamboo, a piece of paper and a length of string. At Ubud Hanging Gardens local children share their techniques for creating prized flyers with our young guests.

Experience Rural Bali

Enjoy a guided excursion that takes you through several villages and includes a visit to a temple, a school and several traditional artisans’ workshops. You’ll also enjoy a tour of a plantation filled with oranges, cocoa and different varieties of tropical fruit, where you’ll taste Kopi Luwak, the world’s most expensive blend of coffee. The experience comes to a delightful end with a final stop at a village where children gather to learn the art of fan making.

Cycling the Batur Trail

Using modern mountain bikes and safety equipment, the downhill trail from Mount Batur will lead you through sleepy villages along seldom-used roads and tracks. Frequent stops will give you the opportunity to visit hidden temples, plantations and villages.
